He has spent over two decades in various capacities with Asian Paints. He is chairman of the board of governors for Indian Institute of Management, Tiruchirapalli and also a board member of National Skill Development Agency (NSDA) and a part of the Pradhan Mantri Kaushalya Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) Steering Committee, both of which function under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India. Over the past decade, he has been personally overseeing philanthropic activites working towards the cause of infant and woman health and education in rural Gujarat and skilling of sports professionals. He was the chairman of the Paints and Coatings Skill Council (PCSC) from its inception in 2015 till September 2017.
