He joined AkzoNobel in 2013 as Head of Sales and Marketing, Decorative Paints, AkzoNobel India and was appointed Country General Manager India in 2014. Rajiv was appointed as the Regional Director, Performance Coatings, Middle East & Africa in January 2017 and has served on the Boards of several AkzoNobel group companies in the Middle-East and Africa.
Prior to joining AkzoNobel India, he was the CEO – Broadband & Data at Bharti Airtel Limited. He has also worked with organizations such as Hindustan Unilever and BP/Castrol India primarily in Sales, Marketing and Business Leadership roles.
He is a Chemical Engineer from University of Mumbai and MMS (Marketing) from SP Jain, Mumbai of the 1993 Batch. He has attended programs at INSEAD Singapore and Harvard Business School and Centre for Creative Leadership.
